Absceso tubo-ovárico espontáneo como complicación de un endometrioma: reporte de caso

Presentamos el caso de una paciente de 33 años, sin factores de riesgo que se presenta con absceso tubo-ovárico espontáneo en relación con un endometrioma sobreinfectado. Un absceso tubo-ovárico en un endometrioma es una complicación muy rara, y que este se produzca en pacientes sin factores de riesgo es aún más infrecuente. El caso busca aportar con mayor evidencia, respecto a los hallazgos clínicos, ecográficos y tratamiento, frente a esta complicación. Este caso connota que un endometrioma puede progresar a una complicación infecciosa, que requiere un tratamiento quirúrgico oportuno ya que podría comprometer la vida, si este se rompe.
