Abstract

The review article "Genetic and genomic progress in breast cancer" describes the most relevant findings on the genetics of breast cancer, from the description of the disease, predictive genetic tests, affected genes and a mention of the recommended surgical treatment . In the same way, the approach and clinical advice require an additional focus in decision making for daily practice, especially for patients with BRCA1/2 involvement.
