Resonancia de estrés con dipiridamol: experiencia en el Hospital Metropolitan

Resumen

Los métodos de imagen tienen un papel fundamental en el manejo de los pacientes con cardiopatía isquémica conocida o sospechada, al mejorar la precisión en la selección del paciente que se enviará a revascularización. Se seleccionaron treinta y cuatro pacientes con sospecha de cardiopatía isquémica para la realización de resonancia de estrés con dipiridamol para mejorar la precisión diagnóstica. A los pacientes en quienes la resonancia de estrés fue positiva, se sugirió la realización de un procedimiento invasivo y se revascularizó de acuerdo al porcentaje de isquemia confirmado en el cateterismo cardíaco. Durante el procedimiento no se presentaron complicaciones. El objetivo de este estudio fue el de incentivar a los cardiólogos a la realización de este procedimiento demostrando los resultados obtenidos en este centro. Este es el primer hospital en el país en introducir y realizar esta metodología de imagen para el diagnóstico y manejo eficiente de pacientes con cardiopatía isquémica.
