Abstract

Primary cardiac neoplasms are very rare, the most common being the Myxoma and Papillary Fibroelastoma. The patient is a 70-year-old woman, referred for consultation by a Neurologist due to the discovery of microinfarcts in brain MRI. Cardiac emboligenic sources were investigated and through the Echocardiogram the diagnosis of a papillary fibroelastoma (PF) in the aortic valve is established. The patient underwent surgery and the tumor was removed, preserving the aortic valve. The diagnosis of Papillary Fibroelastoma was confirmed by pathology. There were no complications.
