Abstract

The diseases framing a pathological problem of the upper airway are rare, and just the clinical analysis of it, to understand that dyspnea is one of the most common symptoms appearing, when there are subglottic and tracheal affectation. The etiology is multivariate and the purpose is to understand how to provide timely treatment. The incidence on our environment is related with acquired processes, secondary to trauma, that they are serious, and they should have a specialized management in intensive care, where the priority is the management of the airway by orointubación, which have plausible criterion of further surgical treatment in only two days. Everything will depend on both the sleeve remains inflated endotracheal tube fixation and the patient has much willingness to reach or not a short-term improvement in the underlying pathology. It is clear and documented that the management with ventilation tubes by prolonged time generated cellular structure damage in the tracheal, and posteriority present with stenotic processes, which will be to resolved whit bronchoscopic and/or surgical management, individualizing each case.
